Why does it cost £5 to add or edit a mosque listing?
The £5 fee helps us maintain a high-quality, spam-free directory. It covers server costs, development, and verification efforts. This small investment ensures every listing is accurate and valuable to the community. Think of it as Sadaqah Jariyah - your contribution helps Muslims find a place to pray for years to come.
How do I add a new mosque to the directory?
Click 'Add Mosque' in the navigation menu, fill out the form with as much detail as possible (name, address, services, facilities, etc.), and complete the £5 payment. Your mosque will appear in the directory immediately after payment confirmation.
How can I edit or update an existing mosque listing?
Navigate to the mosque's page in the directory and click 'Suggest Edit'. Fill out the form with the updated information and complete the £5 payment. Your changes will be applied after payment confirmation.
Is the mosque information verified?
Muslimnet UK is a community-sourced directory. While we strive for accuracy, we rely on community members to keep information up-to-date. We recommend verifying prayer times and location details directly with the mosque before travelling.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, our secure payment processor. This includes Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and more. Your payment information is never stored on our servers.
Do you offer refunds?
Due to the nature of the service (your listing is published immediately), we generally do not offer refunds. However, if there's an issue with your submission or you've been charged incorrectly, please contact us and we'll work to resolve it.
Can I get a discount or free listing?
We occasionally offer promotional codes for mosque administrators, community contributors, and during special Islamic occasions. If you're in genuine financial hardship or want to add multiple mosques in underserved areas, please reach out to us on social media @cloudmaking.
How accurate is the mosque location data?
Location accuracy depends on the information provided by community contributors. We encourage submitters to include precise coordinates when possible. You can find coordinates by right-clicking on Google Maps and copying the latitude/longitude.
Can I add a mosque outside the UK?
Currently, Muslimnet UK focuses exclusively on mosques in the United Kingdom. We hope to expand to other regions in the future. If you'd like to see your area covered, let us know!
How do I report incorrect information?
If you spot an error, you can either suggest an edit (£5 fee applies) or contact us on social media @cloudmaking. For serious issues or urgent corrections, reaching out to us directly is the fastest way to get things fixed.
What information should I include when adding a mosque?
At minimum, include the mosque name and address. For the best listing, also add: phone number, website, prayer times, services offered (Quran classes, youth programs, etc.), women's facilities details, capacity, and any unique features. The more detail, the more helpful it is for fellow Muslims.
Is my personal information safe?
We take privacy seriously. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We don't store your card details. For more information, please read our Privacy Policy.
