About Muslimnet UK

Building the digital infrastructure for the UK Muslim Community since 2024

Our Mission

Muslimnet UK exists to give Muslims in the United Kingdom useful, free Islamic tools. Some of them help with daily worship, like the Qada Counter and the Quran Reading Planner. Others connect you to what's happening around you, like the mosque events hub and its Friday email round-up.

Everything on the site is free, and it will stay that way.

Our Perspective

Muslimnet UK is written and maintained by a Hanafi Muslim, and where questions of fiqh come up (fasting, prayer, zakat and the like) our writing generally reflects the Hanafi school. That is a matter of transparency, not a claim that it is the only valid view.

The UK's Muslim community spans all the major schools of thought, and where rulings meaningfully differ we try to say so in the articles themselves. For anything that affects your own worship, your local mosque and scholars remain the right people to ask.

Why We Started

The site started in 2024 with one small tool, the 99 Names of Allah explorer, built because we couldn't find a version we actually enjoyed using. More tools followed as we needed them ourselves. That's still how things get added: if we find ourselves wanting something, we build it and share it.

In 2026 the site grew into something more communal. We started working with a local mosque to list its events here, and the events hub now exists so that talks, classes and trips don't pass people by just because they missed a poster.

What We Offer

Our Values

🤝

Community First

We build for the community, with the community. User feedback shapes our roadmap.

Accuracy

We prioritize correct information over quantity. Every detail matters.

🌍

Accessibility

Our platform is designed to be usable by everyone, on any device.

💧

Sadaqah Jariyah

We see this work as ongoing charity. If a tool here helps someone pray, fast, or show up for their community, that is the whole point.

Always Growing

New tools get added when the community asks for them or we need them ourselves. If something here could work better, or you want your mosque's events listed, tell us.
